“I’m Alex, I’m 17 years old, I live in Moscow.
When I was 3 years old I was diagnosed with stage 4 Neuroblastoma and I was taken to New York for a treatment. I met Irene in the children’s hospital where she was volunteering. Mom and I couldn’t speak English well and Irene started to help. Irene was visiting us in the hospital, then in Ronald McDonald House, she was taking us to her house for holidays, birthdays or just for weekends.
